Edwin-Diepeveen

Dr. Edwin Diepeveen

Dr. Edwin Diepeveen is an experienced spine surgeon specialized in endoscopic and minimally invasive spinal surgery, with over a decade of focused clinical experience. He began working with spinal endoscopy in 2012 in Germany, initially performing endoscopic denervation procedures at the Hospital in Emmerich. This marked the start of his long-term dedication to endoscopic spine techniques. Since 2018, Dr. Diepeveen has been performing Percutaneous Transforaminal Endoscopic Discectomy (PTED) on a structural basis, initially in close collaboration with Dr. Menno Iprenburg, one of the pioneers of endoscopic spine surgery. In 2019, he expanded his surgical scope to include endoscopic interlaminar decompressions. From 2020 onward, he has also been performing endoscopic posterior cervical decompressions and endoscopic treatment of cervical disc herniations (HNP). As of 2025, Dr. Diepeveen is active at FlexClinics Spine Center in Utrecht, where he performs lumbar endoscopic spine surgery. In the same year, cervical endoscopic treatments have been reintroduced into his clinical practice. In addition to endoscopic procedures, Dr. Diepeveen is a specialist in minimally invasive spinal fusion (spondylodesis). From 2026, these fusion procedures are also being developed and performed using endoscopic techniques, further reducing surgical invasiveness and improving patient recovery. Clinical Focus: • Full endoscopic lumbar spine surgery (PTED, interlaminar techniques) • Endoscopic cervical decompression and disc herniation surgery • Minimally invasive and endoscopic spinal fusion (spondylodesis) • Degenerative spinal disorders and nerve compression syndromes
